How do I export my seeds?

This guide explains how to export your MFA seeds from Authn8.

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

From the main vertical menu on the left, click on "Settings". This will take you to the Settings hub page.

Step 2: Go to the Export Page

On the Settings hub page, you will see several setting options displayed as cards. Click on the "Export Data" card to access the data export page.

Step 3: Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (If Not Already Enabled)

To export your seeds, you must first have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled on your account. If MFA is not enabled, you will see a warning message with a button to set it up. Click the "Set Up MFA" button and follow the instructions to enable it.

Step 4: Verify with 2FA Code

Once MFA is enabled, you will need to verify your identity by entering your 6-digit 2FA code from your authenticator app in the provided field.

Step 5: Choose an Export Format

After verifying, you can choose to export your seeds in one of three formats:

  • Export to Excel - Download your seeds as an Excel (.xlsx) file
  • Export to CSV - Download your seeds as a CSV (.csv) file
  • Export to QR Codes - Download your seeds as QR code images in a ZIP file

Click on the appropriate button to initiate the download.

Exporting your seeds can be useful for backups or for migrating to another platform.
