Editing an existing Account

Keeping your account information and user access up-to-date is simple.
This guide shows you how to modify existing accounts.

Step 1: Navigate to the Accounts Page

From your dashboard, click on the "Accounts" link in the sidebar to see a list of all your saved accounts.

Step 2: Select the Account to Edit

Find the account you wish to update in the list. Click on the edit icon (a pencil) next to the account name to go to the "Edit Account" page.

Step 3: Modify the Account Details

On the Edit Account page, you can update the following fields:

  • Name: Change the display name of the account for better organization.
  • Issuer Domain: This field is used to generate the account's logo. You should only change this if the logo is not displaying correctly.
  • Admin Users: Assign users who will have administrative privileges over this account. They can edit, delete, and manage sharing for this account.
  • Users: Assign regular users who will have read-only access to the account's 2FA codes.
Step 4: Save Your Changes

After making your desired changes, click the "Update" button to apply them. The account details and user access will be updated instantly.


That's it! Your account details are now updated. Note that you cannot change the secret key or QR code for an existing account for security reasons. If your key has changed, you will need to delete the old account and add a new one.
